Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

Last weekend we went up to Jackson for the boys to go to the St Stanislaus State Championship football game...which they won...GO ROCKS!! We stayed Friday night at my BFF Stephanie's house. On our drive up there, the weather fore casted snow, but we just knew that it wouldn't happen. Well, lo and behold...Friday night it really did snow! We were so excited! I can't even remember the last time it snowed. Living down on the coast, we rarely ever see it. The kids had a fit over it! At first Steph and I were being all motherly and didn't want them to go out and get cold. Then Brady said, "But Mommy, I've never seen snow before in my whole life"! Well of course I had to let him go play in it...he had a point! And boy did he play!!! All the kids had a wonderful time playing in the snow!

In fact, this picture epitomizes the winter wonderland night that we had!......................

Brady and Wyatt's faces show how happy they are! Not sure where Wyatt's coat was......Notice McLain getting pounded by a snowball by Bren in the background! And Katie is oblivious to her friend getting smashed as she is making a Snow Angel...ahh the joys of motherhood!!LOL

Brady having a blast in the snow...
Katie and McLain had a blast in it too!
Making Snow Angels!
SnowBall fight... O0000ps, there's Bren trying to hit Mama with the camera with a snowball!
Bren with his Snowball...
McLain showing off her Snow Angel!
Even the day after the snow was still on the ground!
Katie and McLain
Stephanie had her house decorated so beautiful for Christmas!
Stephanie's hutch in her kitchen look beautiful too!
We had a wonderful time and was so happy that we got to enjoy snow this holiday season.
Merry Christmas YALL!!!

Thanksgiving Feast '09

We had the best Thanksgiving Feast! For the first time in a very long time I got to spend time with all my Mom's brothers and sisters. It was so wonderful being with all my aunts and uncles again. We had the best food in the entire world, especially my Aunt Jane's dressing...I wish I would have taken a picture of all the food we had.
I made everybody pose in a picture, since it is not everyday that they all get together. Top row, left to right...My Aunts...Sheila, Janet, Mama, Jane...front row my Uncle Eddie and Uncle Jr. There is never a dull moment when our family gets together. And yes, my Aunt Sheila is giving my Uncle Eddie "rabbit ears!" LOL
Now Sheila is giving the "rabbit ears" to Janet!LOL
This is a good picture...
Of course, I had to get a picture with everybody...I am the self proclaimed "favorite niece"!haha
In my own mind anyway!
I love this one of my Uncle Jr...
My Uncle Jr and Aunt Charlie came all the way from Texas for Thanksgiving.
They brought with them my cousin Kevin's son, Cole.

Uncle Eddie with his girlfriend, Amanda
Me and my cousin, Chris
Mel and Me
My cousin Jason and his beautiful family...Jennifer, Jayd0n and Jolee

And Chris' daughter, Emilee

Our cousin Cole who lives in Texas. That was the first time we had seen him in a long time...it was so nice to be able to see him and for all the kids to play!

It was so beautiful and peaceful out in Homewood. The kids had so much fun running around and playing. They also had a fit over the Llama.

A wonderful time was had by all. Exactly what Thanksgiving is supposed to be all about. I hope everybody had as wonderful and fabulous of a Thanksgiving as we did!

Oh Christmas Tree...

Finally got my Living Room Christmas tree up! Now all I want to do is put on Christmas music, sit on the couch and enjoy the lights!:-) I am so afraid that the kids are going to fight or wrestle around it and knock it down! I put my blood, sweat and tears into this tree and if they destroyed it I would have a heart attack!

My "blood" when I made the pine cone garland...stringing it together is no easy feat...especially with the prickly pines...I had sore hands for days...
My "sweat" was putting it up...This tree is our old one from when we lived in Mobile. When we moved to Jackson I got the smaller tree that I put in the Dining Room. This tree was too short to go in the Living Room in our house that we live in now on the Coast, so to make it taller, I put it in a huge plant pot that I already had. It makes it the perfect height.
My "Tears" of Joy!! When I put the tree up last year, my sweet hubby surprised me with a little Christmas Village to go underneath it.
I do have a couple of causalities from last year, like the "headless" Christmas Caroler when Brady kept thinking they were toys for him...
This is my favorite ornament! My Aunt Sheila gave it to me one year for my birthday!
My Thomas Kincade "Twas The Night Before Christmas" that plays the whole story and lights up in each room as the story is told...
Thanksgiving pictures to come...
