My Baseball Playing Boys!!

It is going to be a busy busy baseball season. All 3 of my boys are playing baseball this year(well one is actually t-ball). Brian is coach both to Bren and Brady, but sometimes when both their games are at the same time he has to coach Bren's team since he is head coach. So that leaves me on my own to encourage Brady. Of course I can only yell and cheer so much, the kid is gonna do what he wants to do. What am I supposed to do?? Run out to the outfield and make him get up?? (yes, that is what my hubby said I should have done!) Brady really wasn't into the game at all..........yes it is cute to see them goofing out there, but Brady goes a little too far with the whole "playing around in outfield"!! As Katie and I were sitting there watching him run out to play shortstop for the 1st time, I could hardly believe my eyes when the kid started laying down in outfield!!
I tried to yell for him to get up, but the more I yelled, the more he layed!!!Of course I just "had" to get my camera out so I can blackmail him one day when his little boy does the same thing!!haha
Look at the little turkey smiling at me, knowing I was taking a picture of him!!
It really was mortifying seeing him laying down like that!! At one point he was even making "dirt angels"!!
Meanwhile, while Brady is taking a little nap in outfield, my little slugger Bren was about to slam one..........I would run back and forth between the fields so that I could at least see them both of them bat!
He was happy to see his mama watching him! He was so excited that he hit a triple! GO BREN!

There he is on 3rd, about to bring it on home!!

Whoooo Hooooo!!!! Score Bren Bren!!!
Having 3 boys playing on 3 different teams can get hectic. There is only so much of a person that can be spread around. So someone gets left out......usually the oldest, since he is more self sufficient and older. But kids always want their parents there to watch them in whatever they do, no matter how old they are. One night Patrick, Bren and Brady all had games at the very same time. Patrick plays on the JV and Varsity team. He got to pitch for the 1st time the night we missed it. He struck 3 people out in a row and hit a triple!! Thanks goodness my mother-in-law and brother-in-law were there to see it!!
GO PATRICK!!
I was sure to make it to his next home game!

Go Rocks!!!
Patrick and my nephew Cody putting on the bug-spray......those gnats were bad!!

Look at Brady trying to sneak into the field!! Actually he was trying to reach for a ball, but it sure was funny seeing him crawling under the fence like that!!

That boy is gonna cause me to get institutionalized one day!

Panthers Win Championship!!!

I am so proud of my Bren Bren's peewee football team!! They won the Long Beach Youth Football Championship!! WOOOOO HOOOOO GO PANTHERS!!! You can see by their faces just how proud these little fellas are!! It was a special win considering that the team we beat had beaten us twice before. These guys worked really hard for this championship and they deserved it. The score was 0-0 for most of the game until our quarterback, Nick, scored an awesome touchdown. Bren made some really good plays...including an awesome catch. Here he is in an action shot! Coach Joey and Coach Brian walking off the "winning field"!
GOOD JOB COACHES!!!! You both ROCK!!!
Coach Brian giving Coach Joey a "Good Game" pat on the back!
THE FINAL SCORE!!!
Bren getting his "Championship Medal"!

Bren with his Medal! He's so proud!
Chase with his "Championship Medal"!
Bren, Chase and Nick!!
The Crew!! Bren, Chase, Nick and Jack!! Some awesome football players!!!
Bren, Chase, Nick and Jack! I love these guys!!
These boys had an wonderful season and what a great way to end it!!!
I also want to thank the Saints for a great season. They played really good too. Many of the players are friends of Bren's, he has played baseball with a bunch of them. It's hard playing against your friends but I guess that's all about sports. With that, I just want to say....GOOD GAME SAINTS!

All Saints Day

Whew...so glad today is over! It was All Saints Day at Katie and Bren's school...Katie and her 3rd grade class all dressed up as their favorite Saint. Katie's Saint was St Catherine laboure. Now... before you view her pic, let me explain something...St Catherine wore a "habit" that was big and floppy, just like Sally Field in "The Flying Nun". I made one out of foam craft paper. I did the best I could, but let's face it...big floppy habits aren't the most practical form of headdress. Katie and I went rounds and rounds last night with lots of screaming and crying. She did NOT want to wear it. I pretty much had to threaten her life to get her to wear it. Today at school, I almost had a nervous breakdown because she wouldn't walk in her class with it on. She finally put it on and I went to wait in the gym for all the "Saints" to come in. God Bless her heart for wearing it~~ Poor girl...I can't say that I blamed her...it was crooked and sideways because it was hitting the persons beside her in the face! I don't think I will ever let her read this, and I not admit it to her.....but you gotta admit she was a trooper for wearing it!LOL I guess I will be extra nice to her tonight...she will probably have to have years of therapy from this day!!
(Maybe I should have just ordered one from a costume place?)
She is never gonna let me live this one down...
Bless that little Saint's heart!:-)
That is one fine group of Saints~
Everyone looked awesome! It was so much fun seeing everyone dressed as their favorite Saint!

Bren and his buddies again...
I was wiped out after that stressful, emotional morning! Especially while trying to recoup from my sickness...but my morning wasn't over...still had to go to Brady's school County Fair! Pictures from that to come...
